Maybe you can't quite put your finger on it, but you’re not feeling okay. You might be feeling tired more often, be feeling emotional, and you might not want to do the things that you usually enjoy right now. You may be struggling to cope with everyday life which just doesn’t look or feel the same at the moment. Depression (major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act.

Depression can leave you feeling like you’re stuck under a dark cloud, a low mood which often lasts a long time and affects your day to day life. When you feel depressed it means you feel unable to cope with negative feelings causing you to put life on hold and withdraw from the outside world. Do these sound familiar?

  • Are you feeling continually down, upset or tearful?

  • Do you feel hopeless?

  • Have you lost interest in life or things you usually enjoy?

  • Do you feel unable to relate to other people?

  • Do you find it difficult to concentrating on things and make decisions?

  • Feel tired all the time and want to stay in bed?

  • Are you lacking on confidence with low self-esteem?

  • Do you avoid socialising with friends or family?

  • Are you neglecting your hobbies or interests?

Fortunately, Depression  is treatable with hypnosis. I can speak from experience here having suffered with depression at different times in my life. Hypnotherapy helped me tremendously by allowing me to see what my triggers were and helping me overcome feelings I didn't think I could ever resolve.

Anxiety can really take over lives and can be debilitating. Fortunately, hypnotherapy is a great way to help with the reduction of anxiety and stressful situations.

First of all though, I want to congratulate you on making it to this page. That means you realise that this thing called either depression or anxiety is causing you problems in your life and you'd like to move on from it.

So you’ve decided that you want to use hypnotherapy to help you reduce anxiety. Let’s talk about how we go about doing that. Notice that I said “we”! That’s because hypnotherapy is a collaborative process and I will be teaching you a variety of techniques so that you can help yourself. We will use relaxation and breathing techniques in conjunction with hypnosis to give you control over the anxiety and learn positive coping strategies, helping to reduce down the physical symptoms of anxiety. It will also help you to focus on the positive aspects of your life and stop those recurring thoughts that can perpetuate anxiety.

There are various degrees of anxiety ranging from mild to severe and not everyone who suffers with anxiety has panic attacks. Your anxiety may be just a temporary thing, such as examination or wedding nerves, which can be helped with hypnotherapy quite quickly. If your anxiety is more persistent then more sessions will be required, which can be discussed during the initial consultation.
